The Weather Channel has had its challenges in recent years.  In the book, The Blair Rules: A Strategic Guide to Organizational Change Management,  I’ve discussed previous efforts to accomplish strategy systems building for the company.  Now, the Weather Channel (TWC) has been sold to comedian Byron Allen and his media firm, Allen Media LLC.  The WC was once viewed by more than 95 million homes. That number currently stands at around 80 million, due in part to consumers being able to access weather information via mobile devices.  Since the channel has recently been attempting rather unsuccessfully to add entertaining content into its programming, perhaps Mr. Allen can bring his comedic past to offer a boost to those efforts.
