Target Targets Strategy

Strong consumer spending during the holiday season boosted Target’s fourth quarter sales.  This outcome led Target executives to declare that their strategies implemented last year to both improve stores as well as the company’s digital presence have had good results.  CEO Brian Cornell recently declared that they”d be continuing their multimillion dollar spending plan this year as well, even though it is taking a toll on profits.  It’s all a matter of getting all those parts of the organization moving together – Target’s organizational change management strategy for aligning the moving parts is to spend more on stores and enhance its digital marketing capabilities.
