By May, quarter-pounder hamburgers in the U.S. will be made from fresh beef – a move aimed to please customers who want less processed food.  McDonald’s USA President Chris Kemperczinski recently stated, “McDonald’s is a burger company, and there’s no more important place for us to focus on improving the quality of our food.”  The move will make supplying the 14,000 U.S. restaurants more challenging but McDonald’s expects the extra efforts required for the change to be worthwhile in bringing greater brand identification and store traffic.
